All Estimates are FREE of charge from all of our arborist’s. The only time we charge is when a Certified Arborist comes out to do an formal tree evaluation. An evaluation is a formal write up or assessment of a tree or number of trees on a property that does not result in any further tree services to be performed. An estimate is a proposal that is given to our customers that can result in tree services to be performed upon approval of the work.

We will schedule a appointment at a time that works well for you, come to yoru property and provide a quote right on site.

Once you submit your signed approval via email or fax, our scheduler will be calling or emailing you within 1-3 business days. Again, this depends on how busy we are. If we just had a major storm, we can be weeks behind our work in this scenario. We appreciate your patience and value all our customers equally, its just that emergency tree service, i.e. trees on houses and such take priority over regular work.

In the Bark

• Trees react by releasing pitch as their natural defense against bark beetle attack. This response from the tree will leave small white or reddish-brown pitch tubes on the outside of the bark. (Pitch tubes may resemble ½-¾ inch blobs of sap-like substance.)
• A white pitch tube means the beetle was successfully repelled by the tree. If the pitch tube is reddish brown, most likely the beetle was successful in attacking the tree.
• The pitch is accompanied by a sawdust-like substance, called frass, created by bark beetles and their larvae as they borethrough the bark.
• Frass has accumulated in tree crevices and may have fallen to the ground, resembling very fine, reddish-brown coffee ground material at the base of the tree.
• Bark flaking or holes in the bark caused by woodpeckers foraging for bark beetles are also a good indicator that bark beetles are present.
• Removing bark sections will reveal holes created by bark beetles, as well as dead or degraded inner bark.
